I've been so busy with my daily small paintings that I forgot to post this oil painting which I completed last year. The reference for this painting is a hand fan of which I have a collection. The original fan has detail work on it which I left out because I wanted to abstract it enough to give the feeling of serenity.

What a great subject for a long, skinny canvas. The crisp edges of the folds are so satisfying.
